The main purpose of this project is to be a call for reflection on one of the most problematic realities: The refugees situation.

The artwork is about the circumstance of people from different countries that must risk their lives, breaking through the water in order to try to find a new life opportunity far from the problems they go through in their place of origin.

The sculpture portraits of the installation are inspired by documentary photographs of different persons, adults and children, who drowned while looking for shelter in other countries. They are contained inside drop shaped spheres that hang from a dry dead tree.

This allegory means that, on the one hand, the hopes of each drowned refugee are forever encapsulated in the water. On the other hand, that this dramatic situation is not the real problem but the consequence that produces the structure of a failed system, which is represented by the dry tree.

El objetivo de este proyecto es invadir el espacio con un llamado a la reflexión sobre una de las realidades más problemáticas: La situación de los y las refugiadas.

La obra habla de la situación de las personas de diferentes países con necesidad de arriesgar la vida cruzando las aguas, para intentar buscar una oportunidad lejos de los problemas que viven en su lugar de origen.

Los rostros de la instalación están inspirados en fotografías documentales de diferentes personas, adultas y menores, que se ahogaron en la búsqueda de refugio en otro país. Éstos están contenidos en esferas con forma de gota que cuelgan de un árbol natural seco.

De esta manera se comunica la siguiente alegoría al/la espectador/a:
Por un lado, que las esperanzas de cada refugiado/a ahogado/a se encapsulan para siempre en el agua. Por otro, que esta dramática situación no es el problema sino la consecuencia que se desprende de la estructura de un sistema, la cual es representada por el árbol seco.
