“After many hours the dogs, weary of racing hither and yon, almost expiring…throw themselves upon one another, not knowing what they are doing, and tear one another into a thousand pieces with incredible rapidity. They do not behave thus from cruelty. One day my mother, her eyes glassy-looking, said to me: —When you are in bed and you hear the howling of the dogs in the fields…don’t make a jest of what they are doing: they have the insatiable thirst for the infinite, like you, like me, like the rest of us human beings…—" (Lautréamont, Songs of Maldoror)
The Turritopsis dohrnii, better known as "the immortal jellyfish," is the only living being capable of reversing time, meaning, reverting from a developed adult state to an embryonic state by repairing its DNA. Currently, this species is being studied for the potential application of its mechanisms for human cellular regeneration.
In each petal of the first vase appears a stage of the jellyfish's development in an anthropomorphic manner: the polyp state, the budding of the jellyfish until reaching youth, the adult jellyfish, and the stressed mature jellyfish that falls to the seafloor, returning to its polyp state through cellular regeneration called transdifferentiation.
This representation of the infinite cycle is connected, through another infinite cycle of wire, to a third infinite cycle, in this case, that of eternal addiction, represented in the second vase by a closed circle of 3 arms injecting heroin into each other. The whole piece is, overall, the unconscious addiction to immortality, characteristic of the human being, that has discovered that this could be possible through the eternal return.

La Turritopsis dohrnii, mejor conocida como "la medusa inmortal", es el único ser vivo capaz de retroceder en el tiempo, es decir, volver a un estado embrionario desde un estado adulto desarrollado mediante la reparación de su ADN. Actualmente se estudia a esta especie por la posible aplicación de sus mecanismos para la regeneración celular humana.
En cada pétalo del primer jarrón aparece una etapa del desarrollo de esta medusa de manera antropomórfica: el estado de pólipo, el brote de la medusa hasta llegar a la juventud, la medusa adulta y la medusa madura estresada que cae al fondo marino, volviendo a su estado de pólipo mediante la regeneración celular llamadatransdiferenciación.
Estarepresentación del ciclo infinito se conecta, mediante la de otro ciclo infinito del alambre, a un tercer ciclo infinito, en este caso el de la eterna adicción, representado en el segundo jarrón por un círculo cerrado de 3 brazos que se inyectan heroína entre sí. En conjunto: La adicción inconsciente a la inmortalidad, característica del ser humano, ha descubierto que ésta podría ser posible mediante el eterno retorno.
